Political responsibility for pointless, unconstitutional 2003 war in Iraq
The fault lies with Senators Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton

To the Editor:
Responsibility for the ill-conceived 2003 Iraq war lies not with Ralph Nader or his Green Party presidential candidacy but with Democratic Senators including Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. They could have defeated the 2002 Authorization to Use Military Force without a filibuster by standing together. Instead, the bill passed by a vote of 77-23. The war power is entrusted to Congress, not the President.
